Weslaco’s a big-time program with a nothing pressbox. Juan Medrano, the respected stats guru of McHi had to leave the box because there was no room. I’m looking at a state-of-the-art fieldturf playing surface and scoreboard, yet I can only see half of the field from the pressbox if I don’t lean.
This, simply, is not good enough for 5A Texas football. Seeing Juan leave the box because there’s not enough room made me realize that. I shouldn’t have an obstructed view of a game I’m covering. If it weren’t raining, I’d sit outside.
BTW, if you hate the color purple, avoid this game.
